The motivations of power-seeking progressives are very easy to understand, if craven, unprincipled, and perverse: These are people who are usually of above average intelligence, but who are intrinsically emotionally immature, covetous, and narcissistic. Like most people, they have talents and aptitudes, but they don’t envisage these conveying to them the fortune and glory to which they feel entitled, because they have no vision. They know they’ll never compose grand symphonies, achieve great medical breakthroughs, nor found multibillion-dollar companies. Being of the aforementioned temperament, they also form harsh assessments of the people and society around them.

They could have done it better, they reason…

At some point, they discover a political philosophy that was crafted, then honed and perfected by kindred defectives who went before them. More often than not, such people tend to gravitate toward each other, thus affirming their outlook and estimations. Being intellectually gifted, they quickly perceive the potential rewards in promoting this system: if they can accentuate - or better yet, augment - that with which people are dissatisfied in society, they may then intervene and offer them perfection in order to garner the political power they seek.

The “perfection” they offer to the masses and “useful idiots” is a pipe dream, of course, but once that power is attained, this becomes moot. The workers and those who do possess vision and talent will now work for them. The question of their making lofty or meaningful contributions to society becomes academic. Their borderline sociopathy negates any difficulties connected with the immorality of sabotaging the society in which they live, and catalyzing events that destroy lives.

This is the way it has played out in every nation that has adopted collectivist (socialist-communist) policies, to a greater or lesser degree; either way, such societies remain economically, culturally and spiritually dampened, if not oppressed outright by totalitarian regimes.

And speaking of totalitarian regimes…

Since totalitarian communism was implemented in Russia in the early 1900s, there are those who have been working toward a Marxist revolution in America. In the late 1960s, they began their efforts in earnest, hijacking the Civil Rights Movement and enticing minority groups into their camp, conspiring to sabotage the economy, as well as many other subtle strategies.

Marxist radicals, whether you’re talking about those who were active in the ‘Sixties – such as Bill Ayers and Wade Rathke – or those who are active now – such as Van Jones and Barack Obama – have always been people who not only want it all, but feel entitled to it. The problem arises in that they have nothing worthwhile to contribute to society. So, in their extreme narcissism, the buy into a philosophy that facilitates their ripping it all down, and rebuilding it in their image. They’ll do better than their predecessors, they reason – and if they don’t, it won’t matter that 99% of the population lives in squalor, misery, and hopelessness, because they will remain on top.

Remember that the Soviet leaders lived very well, as do the leadership in Cuba and China...

The bottom line is that the quest to control citizens' property, our prosperity, our persons, our thought, and our speech, is evil. Period. There is no debating this. Liberalism, Progressivism, and socialism as they are understood in America, are but stepping stones, or "gateways" toward the implementation of far left totalitarianism in America, since American communists have been operating under these guises for the last 50 years.

Although the beliefs I and millions of Americans hold (Natural Law) evolved out of Judeo-Christian philosophy, they are also held by other faiths and nonreligious schools of thought; I for one believed this way long before I became a Christian.

Evil is evil; let us not forget this, and be willing to make a stand against it, despite the invective and accusations that will be directed toward us by both the dedicated and the deluded on the left.
