Leaders lefties love
and why they were evil.

Some people are just evil. While this term is a relative one according to moral relativists on the left these days, there are those of us for whom institutionalized mass murder still qualifies. Many on the left simply love to puke the rhetoric that people died and were oppressed during America's ascendancy too. To this, I would answer that there is no comparison between the moral shortcomings of a nation that was evolving  over its 250-year history, and individuals who were able to rack up millions of victims over a mere few decades.

It is estimated that Communism has resulted in the deaths of around 100 million people worldwide; this is not counting the communistic socialist nations that did not overtly embrace the philosophy of Karl Marx. Given the dumbing-down that has occurred over the last 40 years, many Americans aren't even aware why some of the iconic leftist leaders my generation grew up learning about were evil, and why anyone who holds admiration for such excreta is either profoundly deluded, grotesquely stupid, or a seditious traitor who ought to be suspect - at the very least.

mao1.jpg (9965 bytes) Mao Zedong - "Mao Tse-Tung" when I was growing up. Mao established the People's Republic of China in 1949. He is revered in China (and by leftist Westerners) as a great revolutionary and political strategist. His social programs, such as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, caused severe famines and imperiled the culture, society and economy of China. Mao Zedong was named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. In 2009, the White House Christmas tree bore an ornament emblazoned with Mao's likeness.

Killed - Mao killed 20,000,000 (that's twenty million) of his countrymen in pursuit of his grandiose communistic ideal. This isn't counting those who starved to death as a result of his policies. I guess he was concerned about population control...

fidel1.jpg (6878 bytes) Fidel Castro - This former lawyer rose to power in the island nation of Cuba in 1959 after deposing the brutal dictator Fulgencio Batista. An extreme pathological narcissist, Castro's seven-hour (average) speeches are legendary in their verbosity. According to his daughter, Cuban dissident Alina Fernandez, the longest one was 12 hours.

Killed - To be determined; Castro's regime still holds power under his brother Raśl. Tens of thousands died in the weeks after Fidel's ascent to power. It is estimated that Castro has killed over 100,000 people. This is difficult to determine, however; it's not like the Cuban government is going to release relevant statistics to the Western press.

che1.jpg (9024 bytes) Ernesto "Che" Guevara - This is one of the most iconic photographs of all time, and certainly of any leftist leader. An untold number of Che fans (many of them are Hollywood left elites) run around wearing t-shirts bearing the photo at the left, either oblivious to his penchant for murder, or believing tales of same were made up by white Republicans. Che (actually from Argentina, rather than Cuba) relished torture and killing helpless victims, including children and pregnant women. He'd get his kicks by killing the children of dissidents, then dumping the bodies in their parents' yards. A truly sick bastard, He was actually something of a dullard, once accidentally shooting himself in the head. Castro had Che assassinated in 1967.

Killed - Since Che was never the titular head of a nation, he didn't actually get the opportunity to initiate systematic murder as did Mao or Fidel. He was party to the deaths of the 100,000 or so people killed during the Cuban Revolution, however, and countless others that remain undocumented.

lenin1.jpg (6721 bytes) Vladimir Lenin - After years of war and revolution, former lawyer (what's with these lawyers and communism?) and revolutionary Vladimir Ilyich Lenin became Russia's Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars in November 1917 - essentially the world's first modern communist dictator. Since his death in 1924, his embalmed body has been on display in the Lenin Mausoleum in Moscow. Like, yuck...

Killed - Lenin and his henchman (and fellow revolutionary) Leon Trotsky were responsible for killing between 4 and 5 million Russians during and after the Revolution. Lenin later had Trotsky assassinated. Notice a pattern?

stalin1.jpg (11006 bytes) Josef Stalin - The dictator of the Soviet Union from 1922 until his death, Stalin was one of Lenin's closest allies. He led the USSR while Russia was at war with Nazi Germany. During his reign, Stalin launched purges to rid the Soviet Union of "fifth columnists," or spies who were supposedly loyal to the capitalist world.

Killed - Outdoing Lenin and Trotsky, during his purges, Stalin was responsible for the deaths of approximately 60 million Russians, Russian and Eastern European Jews. While communists love to point to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler's atrocities (which were admittedly heinous), Stalin's paranoia and pogroms of murder are nearly universally overlooked by his fans and the modern Western press.

devil1.jpg (7072 bytes) The Devil - Bet you didn't know that Hell is the "Ultimate Communist-Socialist Paradise." Yep - it's totalitarian socialism, one dictator, and practices Universal Suffering. Such a deal! A man of wealth and taste (like many leftist despots), he is known by many names.

Killed - To be determined. Typically, he gets others to do his dirty work.
